PRICING & BOOKING

How far in advance do we need to book you?
This depends on the date of your wedding! For example, if you’re getting married in busy wedding months (March, April, May, September, October, or November) the sooner the better. Most of my clients book about a year in advance but, never hesitate to reach out! Even if it’s a month before your big day, there’s always a chance I have your date open! Contact me here to inquire!
Do you offer discounts on weddings?
Unfortunately, I don’t offer wedding discounts. But, I am willing to work with you to figure out a package that works for both of us! Also, if you don’t already, follow me on instagram! Every once in awhile I run promotions for wedding package or engagement session discounts!
How do you build wedding packages?
I build a custom wedding package for each of my clients! I do this because I know that no two weddings are the same and I never want you to have to pay for something you don’t need! Also, I know that wedding budgets can be extremely hard to meet, and I want to do everything I can to meet yours! Building custom packages makes that possible.

The first step to getting a custom quote is to shoot me an email! From there I have a questionnaire for you to fill out that will cover everything I need to build your package! Easy as that! 

Do you only shoot weddings + engagements?
While couples photography is what I specialize in, I enjoy photographing people in any season of life! Seniors, families, baby announcements, you name it, I’ve probably done it! Contact me for pricing!
Are there any hidden fees we should be aware of before booking?
Nope! I am very upfront about every charge you could possibly have with your package.
What happens if our wedding day runs longer than we paid for?
I promise I won’t just bail on your wedding day if things don’t go as planned. If I notice that your timeline is running a bit behind, I will definitely pull you or your wedding planner aside to make a plan. For example, if you want me to stay for longer, the additional time can be paid for on the back end of the wedding!

DAY OF SHOOT/WEDDING

What if you can’t attend my wedding for some unexpected reason?
In the event of illness (or other such emergency), I am extremely connected in this community and would be able to make arrangements for someone else to capture your day.

If possible, I will provide you with a few names and work so you can choose the person you like the best. In exceptional circumstances this may not be possible. For example, if I got in a car accident on the way to your wedding, it would be my priority to get someone there ASAP. In which case, I would not be able to run options past you.

My husband has also worked with me on plenty of my weddings and knows exactly what my expectations are for any photographers present with one of my clients. So in the event I am not able to be present on your wedding day, he would be there with any other photographer to assure that everything runs as smoothly as possible and meets my expectations.

This is all worst case scenario stuff which I never hope is required. To date, I have never missed a wedding date for any reason, so there is nothing to worry about.

What do I need to bring to my session other than a change of clothes?

EDITING

Do you retouch your photos?
In post production, I edit every photo in lightroom with the edit and style that you see on my website. Personally I have never been one to retouch (remove blemishes, smooth skin, remove fly-away hairs, etc.) every photo that I send off. But, if something is distracting in a few images, such as trash or cars in the background of a photo, I will go in and remove that sort of thing with Photoshop.
What is your editing process?
My editing process goes a little like this. Once I come home from a shoot, I download + backup all the photos right away. Within the next day or two I cull through all of them to separate the good photos from the bad ones (bad ones meaning the blurry, over exposed photos or when someone is blinking or talking). Finally, I edit every photo in Lightroom & photoshop, save them out, and send them off!
How long will it take for me to get my photos back?
My turn around time depends on my workload at the time. For engagements, families, seniors, or any other small session, I have a two-three week turnaround time.

For weddings, I give myself two months to send off the final gallery with every photo. BUT, you will get a highlight gallery within two weeks of your big day so you don’t have to wait that long for all your wedding photos!

PRINT PRODUCTS

What other things do you offer besides digital files?
The only tangible product I offer at the time are custom designed wedding albums and guest books. I was a graphic design major in college and this is my way of using my degree haha!

Coming in 2020, I will be offering save the dates, graduation announcements, and wedding invites. So stay tuned!

How should I print my photos?
I LOVE this question because the quality of prints that you order is SO important. Going to CVS or Walgreens just won’t cut it.

My favorite printers at the moment are MPix for standard prints, Canvas Champ for inexpensive canvas prints, and Artifact Uprising for more unique printing options!

How does your album design process work?
After you get all of your wedding images back, I will allow you to choose 40-50 images to include in your album. After that, I will design the album and send it to you guys to review! You have to rounds of revisions to make any changes that you want! From there, I will get it printed and sent straight to your house!
What do your wedding albums look like?
All of my albums have a hard linen cover with a foil stamp of your choice. The pages are ultra thick and are made to last for years to come. You have the option between 12 different fabric colors and 4 different stamp colors on the cover of your wedding album.

I offer albums in two different sizes (10×10 or 12×12) and they all start with a standard 20 pages (10 spreads). Additional pages can be added upon request for an additional charge. Reach out for a price breakdown of my wedding albums!

TRAVEL

I love your work but don't live in Texas! Do you travel?
YES!!! I love traveling for weddings or engagements. I was born with quite the travel bug, so let’s go somewhere awesome! Ask for specific travel fees!
What do you charge for travel?
If you’re having a destination wedding, COUNT ME IN! I love to travel and would definitely consider myself a destination photographer when it is called for. Some photographers have set travel fees. Lucky for you, I don’t. I have you pay for the bare minimum (flight, transportation, stay). Anything else is on me (food, luggage, etc.)! If you or a family member want to pick me up and drop me off at the airport to save $$$ on a car rental, I’m definitely down!

The process will look like me booking my flight, hotel/airbnb, and rental car, then sending you all the confirmation so you don’t have any surprise expenses on the back end! The cost of those things would then be added to your package price!

GENERAL PHOTOGRAPHY

How would you describe your style?
My shooting style is very organic. When capturing a wedding day my goal is to be a fly on a wall and photograph the most natural and genuine moments possible.

My editing style leans toward the moody side, but is still very timeless. I like to think that the way I edit enhances an image, but doesn’t change it too drastically.

Candid, ALWAYS!
Are you the only photographer or do you have someone else you work with?
I am the main photographer and I am present at every event that I photograph. In the case that I need a second shooter for an event, my husband is always my go to! He was trained by the best 😉 
Do you have insurance?
Both my dad and husband sell insurance, so I have more coverage then I will hopefully ever need. If you’re venue needs proof of insurance, just let me know and I can send that right over to them!
Do you do video?
Not at the moment, but I have some of the best suggestions for videographers! So please ask!!
How long do you keep my images after the wedding?
I keep your images archived technically forever, but my contract promises them for two years.
If I lose my digital files, what happens? Can you reupload?
The link to download your images is active for two months and you can download them as many times as you want. In the mean time, I highly recommend backing up your images in multiple locations after downloading. But, if for some reason you lose your image files after I take your wedding album down, a $50 flat rate is charged to re-upload them.
How do you protect my images from technical issues?
On a wedding day, the biggest thing I do to protect your images is shoot on two memory cards at once. This eliminates the chance of a card malfunction in camera causing me to lose any images.

Immediately after a wedding (literally the same night) I come home and upload all of your images to 2 separate hard drives in addition to an online backup program. I also keep all the images on the memory card until I send you the full gallery! Unless my house burns down, and the internet stops existing at the same time, I promise I got you covered!

What format do you send photos in?
Full size JPGs is what you will receive in your final gallery! I never deliver RAW photos.
Do you ever send raw photos?
I believe that editing is the final touch that makes your images magic! For this reason, I don’t send out RAW image files. Photos that you will want/need will never be left out, I promise! For example, if for any reason you feel like I’ve missed something, (when delivering over 800 photos per wedding, this does happen every once in awhile) just ask! I have no problem going back through the original image files to find a missing photo! I promise to do everything I can to make sure you don’t miss out on memories!
How many photos do we receive from our shoot/wedding?
I never guarantee an exact number of photos but, I average 100 photos per hour, give or take a few depending on the day and type of shoot!
