My Perfect Honeymoon In Mexico

I got married on April 13th. It was the most amazing day. I saw God in every speck of it and it was perfect.

But i’m not here to talk about all that (that will come in a later post). For now i’m here to brag about our honeymoon in Mexico. We went to Unico 2087 in Riviera Maya and it was PERFECT. We got a little too much sun, ate a little too much food, and honestly drank way too much alcohol. John and I had an absolute blast during our first week of sharing a last name.

I only took my camera out twice as to not work on my honeymoon. BUT, I couldn’t help but take some photos of this BEAUTIFUL resort. Enjoy!

For those of you wandering, yes. The photos above were of our balcony. Swim up pool and all. It was so much fun being able to wake up in the morning and just jump in the pool! Gosh dang can we go back yet?!

John and I have always tried to get up early on vacations to watch the sun rise, but in reality it never happens. We’ve tried and failed on at least 3 other vacations before our honeymoon in Mexico. Somehow by the grace of God we were able to wake up before 6:00 AM on our last day in Mexico.

We saw the most beautiful sunrise ever and it was the best way to end the best trip. We’ve already started talking about going back for our one year anniversary, so stay tuned for more pictures this time next year.

So funny story, we both went outside in shorts and a t-shirt thinking that it would be 80 degrees like it was the day before. We were SO wrong. We both spent the 20 minutes watching the sun rise shivering and cuddled on beach chairs. If you ever do this, bring blankets!!
