This sweet, adorable family was so much fun to work with and there is so much love in their photos.

Leslie reached out to me when she was still pregnant with baby Shepard. She wanted to document her adorable family with photos when their second baby was still so fresh and new. I loved getting to capture how much this family loved each other. Their 4 year old son clearly loves being a big brother. He couldn’t stop giving Shepard kisses and tickling his feet. When their oldest son wasn’t loving on his baby brother, he was running around in a dragon cape – which is his current obsession. I told Leslie that I wanted to capture this season of life for them in the most real way. What better way to do that then to photograph their son running around in his favorite thing?

We decided to do their photos at Tandy Hills in Fort Worth because of the families natural style. Me and Leslie talked countless times before their session about how we wish there were mountains around us. I think this was the closest we were going to get in Texas! Mountains or not, I LOVE how these photos turned out. The bright light and golden hour vibes were so dang perfect. I would love love love to do more adorable family sessions in the future. But for now, enjoy these photos of the Powell family.
