This Colorful Spring Wedding Day Has Me Speechless

Hannah and Kris are two very special people to me and their colorful spring wedding day was unforgettable. June 3rd, 2019 is a day that I will always hold near to my heart.

When I first talked to Hannah back in September of last year, she immediately stuck out to me. I knew we were going to be great friends and that we were going to have so much fun celebrating and capturing her engagement and colorful spring wedding day. Now, almost a year later, we have gone through so much together. Y’all have seen her dreamy spring engagement photos, her stunning boho bridal styled shoot, and now her colorful wedding day. I am bitter-sweet about this blog post knowing that it is going to be the last time I get to share the beauty that is Hannah and Kris Itisenberg.

THE VENUE

This colorful spring wedding day was unforgettable and left me feeling speechless. I remember waking up on the morning of their big day, way way way too excited. John and I drove down to The Brooks at Weatherford in Weatherford, Texas in the most beautiful weather. There was not a cloud in the sky and it was a measly 83 degrees (which if you live in North Texas, you know how rare that is in June). The Brooks at Weatherford is a southwest inspired location. They have a lot of great outdoor locations that are perfect for a wedding day.

WEDDING MORNING

When we arrived, their venue was already decked out with all the most beautiful flowers and decorations. We were immediately greeted by Hannah, all the amazing wedding vendors, and her sweet bridal party and family. Hannah and her family made me felt so welcome and involved in their wedding day. I loved getting to spend the time before the ceremony getting to know everyone that was a part of this colorful day. Slow wedding mornings always hold the sweetest moments. Exchanging bridesmaid gifts, saying hello to all the family members as they arrive, sharing letters with your loved ones. Those little but special moments are some of my favorite to capture.

As the day progressed and things started to pick up, I got the chance to spend some time with Kris. The first thing he asked me when I saw him was “how’s Hannah?”.  The groom is always so concerned about his bride before he sees her on their wedding day. I can’t remember the last time I went to a wedding where the groom wasn’t interested in hearing about his brides day.

My favorite part of this whole day was praying over Hannah with her mom right before the ceremony. I am not always able to get in on these sweet moments, so this was definitely a memory I won’t ever forget.

THE CEREMONY

Hannah and Kris’s wedding ceremony was straight out of a colorful fairy tale movie. It was in the Brooks at Weatherford chapel. The windows were raised so it was basically like we were outside. Watching these two say “I do” made my heart skip a beat, and I would be lying if I said I didn’t shed a few tears.

Their reception was so much fun. Everyone was able to dance and celebrate their marriage in the sweetest way. I even got on the dance floor with Hannah a few times which made this day all the more fun. There are wedding days that I will always cherish, and this was definitely one of those. Huge congrats to the Itisenberg’s! You two are one of a kind and I can’t wait to see where life takes y’all.
