You guys. It’s finally October and fall is upon us… how crazy is that?!
If you live in North Texas like myself, you know that it doesn’t quite feel like fall just yet. I am beyond ready for sweater weather, colorful trees, pumpkin pies, and 70 degree photo shoots. But until the Texas weather starts to get on board with the season, we will just have to pretend. And what better way to do that then by blogging an adorable fall inspired engagement session?!
LET’S PRETEND IT’S FALL…
Courtney and Ethan had their minds made up. Even though it was 90 degrees in Plano, Texas on the day of their engagement session, these two wanted their photos to look like it was the middle of fall. They showed up in the cutest sweaters and boots and I was so excited about it.
When we first got to their session, Courtney and Ethan claimed that they were awkward in pictures. In a matter of minutes, I got these two feeling so comfortable in front of the camera, you would have thought they were professional models! They laughed and giggled and snuggled and were so cozy, which definitely fit the vibe of a fall engagement session. I loved every minute of this fun shoot, and I can’t wait until these two tie the knot later this month! Here’s to hoping that it actually feels like fall on their wedding day!
IMPORTANCE OF ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS
Being a wedding photographer, engagement sessions are so special to me. Getting to know my clients, seeing how they interact with each other, and learning a little more about them as a couple is so important before their wedding day. I always tell my clients that their photographer will spend more time with them on their wedding day them anyone else. WHICH IS SO TRUE. Breaking the ice, learning how to be yourself around me and being comfortable with a camera in your face is best to figure out during an engagement session rather on your wedding day. Getting to do that with Courtney and Ethan was so excited because their wedding is only a few weeks away!
On October 18th these two tie the knot and I CAN NOT wait to celebrate their marriage. I know it is going to be just as magical as this shoot was and then some. Stay tuned for more of these cuties faces on my feed. You won’t regret it!
